FAQS:

A psychologist is more likely to focus on cognitive behavioral therapy while a psychotherapist may be more focused on interpersonal relationships. Therapists also often specialize in specific areas such as marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology, school counseling, or substance abuse treatment.
Our therapeutic approach is based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solutions Focussed Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Focussing, Tapping, and holistic approaches, which has been repeatedly shown in scientific journals and in counselling settings to be an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma.
In psychotherapy, the psychotherapist applies scientifically validated procedures to help people develop healthier, more effective habits. There are several approaches to psychotherapy—including polyvagal therapy, interpersonal, and other kinds of talk therapy—that help individuals work through their problems.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative treatment based on the relationship between an individual and a psychotherapist. Grounded in dialogue(top-down) and somatic(body) support(bottom-up), it provides a supportive environment that allows you to talk openly with someone who’s objective, neutral, and nonjudgmental. You and your psychotherapist will work together to identify and change the thought and behavior patterns that are keeping you from feeling your best.
By the time you’re done, you will not only have solved the problem that brought you in, but you will have learned new skills so you can better cope with whatever challenges arise in the future.
No, you do not need a referral to see a psychotherapist. However, sometimes a local health practitioner or school may refer you. In this case please bring along any paperwork to your initial appointment. FAQs

The following sessions last 50 minutes and focus on deescalating and restructuring the conflict within your relationship or/and within yourself. It’s very common for people to question whether therapy (the quiz is designed to help you with this question) works in the first place. The thing about therapy is, it doesn’t work the way, say, a medication might, where when you have symptoms, you take a drug targeting those symptoms, and hopefully, after some amount of time, those symptoms go away.
